Grandparent Testimonial
Zachary had entered his junior year of high school in August and in just a few short weeks determined he wanted to drop out of school and make it on his own. Of course this was just another incident in a long list of bad behavioral issues stretching back for 2 years. His long divorced parents and we as grandparents knew that time was running out on Zachary as he would soon celebrate his 18th birthday in late December. Zachary was in a pattern of lying to everyone and could not be trusted in anything he said. We knew he was involved with drugs but did not know to what extent.
Zachary’s parents had gone through a bitter divorce shortly after he was born and he split his time moving between the households every other week. The contentious divorce had created deep wounds on both sides and with little to no communications between the parents; Zachary used the alienation to his advantage.
After hearing your calming voice as you described the personal experience with your own son and reading every word on The Pinnacle Schools website, we took a giant leap of faith and signed Zachary up for the Elk River Treatment Program. The rest of the story starts a new beginning for Zachary and his now united loving family.
Zachary has emerged from his time at Elk River with a totally different outlook on life. He is now dedicated to completing high school and continuing on to college. He has matured into the fine young man that we all knew he could be and most of all he wants to help other kids avoid the same mistakes that he made.
As a family, we are thankful for The Pinnacle Schools for offering the Elk River Treatment Program to troubled kids that have reached a point where there is no other place to go.
Sincerely,
John Thompson
