Tornado Recovery 2011
Huntsville, AL - May 2011 - Already it has been a record setting year for the state of Alabama. A large portion of our state is in recovery after the April 27th tornado outbreak. Our students were untouched and our campuses in Huntsville and Elk River were spared any significant damage, but we are surrounded by those less fortunate.

We dusted off bicycles and board games. We discovered stars in the night sky. Very little cell phone service and no television allowed us to truly stop and listen to what people were saying. Personally, it was a blessing for my overstimulated brain to experience the much needed, genuine quiet.
